I like this a lot. Its very similar to a big brand name one I also have, but this one looks better quality than that. Little things like proper cable entry sealing and the overall feel. Curiously the remote control is identical to the big brand one!The light output is powerful and diffuses out with a good general throw of light thanks to the lens covers. This is a proper security light.The large remote solar panel means you can put it in the optimal place for sunlight so this will be an all year light.The long cable is thicker than some and the inline connector is a proper gasket sealed waterproof one.There is a lot of cable, if you need to ‘get rid‘ of it you can cable tie it up out of sight.Fixings are supplied. The remote control may be useful to some, but bear in mind its infrared not wireless so a line of sight to the light is needed.The current price is £16 which I would actually pay for this quality, currently there is a temporary discount which makes it an absolute bargain.

The quality of this light is very good, and it’s made from nice, durable material that feels like it will last. I haven’t installed it outside yet, but I tested it indoors and was pleasantly surprised at how bright and even the illumination is. The motion sensor reacts quickly, and the three different lighting modes give good flexibility depending on where and how you want to use it. The included remote control is a great bonus, making it easy to adjust settings without having to reach the unit.While I can’t yet comment on long-term outdoor performance, the build quality and brightness are impressive so far, and I’m confident it will do well in my yard. One small thing to note is that the light and solar panel could benefit from slightly longer connecting cables, which would allow more flexibility in positioning the solar panel in the sunniest spot. Overall, it has met my expectations and I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs outdoors.

This gives off an impressively strong beam of light.Being plastic it‘s not as robust as an alloy metal, mains powered one would be, but I‘d say there‘s a strong possibility you‘d decide against fitting a mains light, after trying this out.It‘s a cool white light, there‘s a decent sized solar panel, the motion sensor works well, there‘s also a remote control. You can set it to light up with full brightness when it detects motion but is otherwise off. Full brightness with motion, but always on at a dimmer setting, then the third option is always on at the dim setting and no motion detection.You‘ve three metres of cable, so you need to use it somewhere that the panel can get prolonged sunlight to be able to charge. The light itself needs to be 3m or less from there, to get a well charged light.

Nicely constructed solar security light. Although it’s entirely made of plastic it seems to be decent quality and doesn’t detract from its performance. Comes with two mounting brackets plus fixings. One for the light and another for the solar panel. There’s also a little remote control which is super handy if you are mounting it out of reach!Has a nice long cable running to the solar panel which means you can (hopefully!) position it somewhere where it will receive plenty of sunlight whilst allowing you to put the light in complete shade if you need to.You have a choice of lighting option with it too so it can just be.a motion activated security light or you can have it as a dusk to dawn light as well. There’s also a dimmed setting which will help the battery last longer.I think this is a great option if you can’t (or don’t want to) wire up a main powered light and for the price I think its good value to boot.

Very easy to set up.Fastens together well.The sensor works as expected and the light is bright enough to illuminate the full garden (albeit a small sized garden).Should work well for security or just if needing to grab something from the garden after dark.Also handy that it’s solar so don’t have to worry about charging

Kolpop solar lights outdoor.This was on sale for £15.99 when I got it. It currently has a 30% voucher available to come off the price. This comes complete with all the fixings that you will need to fix it all up, including screws and rawplugs. You get two plastic fixing plates, you fasten them to wherever you want them and then simply slide the light and the solar panel into them. You don’t have to screw and unscrew the light or solar panel to take them down or put them up.I wanted the light at the front of my garage, over the door, because it’s set back from the front of the house and is dark trying to get into the garage late at night, but the front of the garage doesn’t face towards the direct sunlight ever, I could put it on the house wall but then the solar panel would only get sunlight for the last few hours of the day, and that wouldn’t be enough, so because the power cable is 15 feet long, I was able to run it to the back wall of the garage and install it there, where it gets sun from just after midday. The connector for the light to solar panel is a push fit with arrows on it showing the correct orientation, and then when they are pushed together you’ve got a bolt that screws up to keep it tight and prevent water ingress.The light is bright, I made the mistake of looking at it when I pressed the power button (when will I learn) and it’s dazzling. Needs to have a good charge up now, but also comes with a remote so you can set it to the function that you prefer, in my case I want to have it on mode 1, bright light for 20 seconds and then turns off. That will give me time to open the garage door or get into the boot of the car.
