Sets off sufficient light and a nice ambiance

These lights work fine. They have small LED lights around the rim, so not really bright (like for navigating in the dark) but they look nice and do shed some light. The 4x4 caps i got came with a mounting section and screws which is nice. Then the solar part snaps on top. I was a little mystified by the instructions, that say to make sure the switch is on or they won‘t charge or light up. Well, these is no switch - however there is a pull tab on the back to activate the battery. I think the switch either may be reference to another size, or perhaps just a translation error meaning the battery pull tab. At any rate, once i removed the tab the lights worked fine. Note that they charge during the day and come on at night. There is no on/off option so they will always be on when it is dark. That works for me. The price seems reasonable for two lights. We have a porch that gets very dark and these will work great on the posts at the edge of the stairs - just enough light to show the way. I included a photo of the lights shining - took it inside with my hand over the solar panel to block the light, but the photo is just to give you an idea of the look and brightness. It is a nice light.

We love the low profile of these post lights. They fit perfectly on our deck stairs without any installation woes. Just pop them on, and screw them in. That is all for installation. The light quality is a nice level, not a WOW look at me, but enough to get you where you need to go in the dark. We will be buying more since these are just what we were looking for and we have more deck space that could use some lighting. Only downside is that it does have to be truly dark out for the light to kick in, but for us that is what we needed. Great value and will be getting more!

These are fantastic. They give a nice and helpful amount of light at night, providing a nice accent but also allow you to see what you’re doing even without another light source around. They’re super easy to install, too. Mine get partial sunlight for most of the day but still stay on throughout the night. With decent battery life and easy installation, this is a simple way to make your yard/gate look nicer while also making things more accessible and functional in the yard.

Looks good. Light output is ok. More of a marker then something that is going to let you see where to walk when it‘s dark. The light lasts all night until the sun comes up in the morning. Most of these light are made to fit both wood 4x4s and pvc, unfortunately that means when they are installed on wood they have a gap edge of 1/4 inch all the way around. Better then just basic black caps though. I gave 4 stars because they work good and as they should. But they could be brighter and the 1/4 inch gap all around catches my eyes.

These are pretty nice and will be perfect for the posts on the deck in my new home. I only gave it four stars because I haven’t actually started using them yet but from what I see they are good quality and easy to install. I would say they are pretty good value For a solar type light.
