Solar Post Cap Lights 3 Color & 2 Level Brightness for 4×4/3.5×3.5 Posts

These solar post cap lights fit perfectly on my 4x4 fence posts in the front yard. Setup was super easy—no wiring, i even skipped the screws and they were good to go. The warm white glow is subtle but gives off enough light to create a upscale feel on the deck. They’ve held up fine so far and the solar charging has been reliable, giving me light most of the night. Just a heads-up: these are more decorative than super bright, so they’re better for ambiance than strong illumination. Overall, a simple, effective upgrade for the patio.

With summer sun hours, the kolpop post cap lights have been on from dusk to dawn. It would be helpful if the number of LEDs was listed, as that‘s a useful way to estimate light output when comparison shopping similar products. The post cap lights do put out a decent amount of warm white light, nice to look at, with a softer illumination, but not super bright.

So far these are the nicest and most elegant post cap lights I‘ve tried out. They have a nice clean, clear and crisp look to the lenses and the lights illuminate pretty well. I like that there is no light leakage through the top of the plastic tops unlike some cheaper post caps. They also come with some decent mounting hardware accessories to give you the option to use these on 4x4 or 3.5x.3.5 posts which is also nice. Overall I‘m very pleased with these.

I think these will look good on my new porch staircase posts. They don’t give off a whole lot of light but just enough to look nice. The first thing I did was put it out in the sun to let it charge up all day and when I came back and checked it it felt really hot on the solar panel. I opened it up and the battery was really hot. It has one AA rechargeable battery that’s easy to replace if you need to but it was so hot I was concerned. I don’t know if it was getting overcharged or if it was the sun that was just causing the whole thing to heat up like that. Time will tell if it’s going to be a problem, I don’t know if the battery will have a short lifespan. But it works well. There’s no on off switch, there’s just a piece of plastic that interrupts the battery connection and you pull that out and it turns on and stays on whenever the sun goes down. The mounting square that comes with it fit over my 4 x 4 post (actually 3.5“ x 3.5“) and it was a little bit loose but it will be fine once it’s screwed into place with the light on top. It comes with mounting hardware. It’s plastic, and the underside is not air tight or anything so I’m worried that humidity and moisture might eventually collect in the battery compartment. Again, it will take some time to see how long these last. But they’re easy to replace if it does become a problem. I think they look nice and they’re not too expensive.

These solar post cap lights look good on my deck and give off a nice warm white glow, but I feel the quality could have been better for the price.The plastic housing feels a little cheap, and inside you can clearly see the LED strip through the clear plastic glass. If the glass had been frosted instead, it would have given a much cleaner and more premium look.On the plus side, installation was simple, they fit well on 4x4 and 3.5x3.5 posts, and the solar charging works as expected.Overall, they do the job and look nice from a distance, but with a few quality improvements, these lights could be excellent.

Nice lights. Not high quality. Plastic is thin and pliable. They might last. Not much light emitted from these. They are more of a decorative feature than to provide light. They give off a nice ambience.

I have two posts at the end of my gate that solar lights sit on. My current t set has about reached the end of there life. These are a nice replacement. Comes with everything you need including solar batteries that can be replace unlike my current set which is nice. I look forward to enjoying them for years to come. Recommend. Great value for the money.

The battery is a 600 mAh AA nicad, easily sourced and easily replaced.The LEDs are bright, but not extremely so. They will light up your walkway, but just barely.The light is mainly plastic, not metal, which makes it more vulnerable to UV rays and weathering. But at its price point you usually don‘t get a metal light.

These make a great accent light for entrances or fences. They fit a 4x4 post well and come with hardware for a permanent attachment. The price point is a little high, but overall it’s a good product that adds a nice touch to the patio or porch.
