AAmazon Verified Buyer★★★★☆Good pathway lighting if you don‘t mind a white light
One of the things we have been putting off since building our house are outdoor yard and path lighting. In fact, the pathway from our front door to the driveway is actually quite dark, so much so that my wife avoids going out the front door every morning (before the sun comes up) to get to her car that is parked in the driveway. Instead, she goes through the garage. When these lights showed up on my Amazon feed, I realized it was time to fix this situation and I ordered it. Solar power outdoor lighting has come a long way since I remembered it, when those lights would only last a couple hours at best. There were two lights in this box. Included were two light heads (consisting of two LED lights) and a solar panel mounted on top, two plastic stakes, and a couple packs of wall anchors for wall mounting. In ground installation was pretty simple. Simply insert the stake into the light head, cover the light head and press the button once, twice, or three times to select the desired lighting mode (as specified in the instructions). Then choose the location you want the light to go, and push the stake into the ground, set the lighthead angle to aim the light, and then tighten the wing nut to lock the light into position. This was literally a one to two minute job. I think the hardest part was deciding where to put the light. You do have to make sure to locate it such that the solar cell is not blocked from the sun or lighting. The lights come on automatically when it gets dark. Depending on which mode you select, the lights can stay on all night, or can be off until it is activated by motion. Given the long performance on a single charge, I decided to go with the continuous on mode. In this mode, the light is relatively dim, running at 20% of its maximum brightness. Each lighthead comes with two lights, so they are aimed to give the light beams some “throw” and wider coverage. The light that comes from these lights is a white light, as opposed to the more yellowish lighting you normally see with outdoor lighting. The white light does brighten up the pathway at our house better than you would get from a yellow light. However, the whiteness of the light doesn’t give the same cozy or warm ambience that you would normally get from a yellow light. But the way we have it set up, aimed downward toward the path, the white light doesn’t distract or look too “industrial”. It does help that it is at 20% of full brightness, so it doesn’t overwhelm the surroundings. However, I would not use these white lights on the rest of our landscape to highlight plants, for reasons of ambience. Instead, these are ideal for pathways where you want a white light to give more illumination for walking and safety reasons. The quality of the lights is as expected. The fit of the stakes into the lighthead is good - nice and tight. The light assembly itself is sturdy, especially when staked into the ground. The button has a rubber layer over it, to prevent any water intrusion from the rain or sprinklers. Overall, this is a very simple light to install and use. If you are ok with a white light, and want to use it for a pathway application, this is a good candidate solar powered lighting unit to consider. It is relatively inexpensive and works with most budgets.

AAmazon Verified Buyer★★★★★Two solar pathway lights that can detect motion
Very durable set of two solar motion spotlights. Included our plenty of anchors and screws to mount the spotlights to a wall or other surface. Or you can just push the heavy duty stakes into the ground and simply attach the solar panel. The solar panels are easily adjustable up or down 90° with a knob to the side to tighten in place that is easily manipulated with the fingers. The panels will sit right next to the ground, about 3 in tall, once the stake is completely inserted. There are no extra rods to increase the height and there are no extra stakes. The width of the panel is 3.15 in. There‘s a button on the bottom of the solar panel with three light modes to adjust the sensing. Press once for 20% brightness. Press again and the light comes on at 100% brightness, then drops to 20% brightness after 20 seconds. When it senses movement, the brightness changes to 100%. A third press and the light stays on for 20 seconds, turns off, and when there’s movement lights up to 100% brightness. A fourth press turns the unit off. So you can set this to stay on all night at 20% brightness, or configure for motion and brightness. I like all those various options. The solar panel seems quality made and the adjustable part works easily and stays put where you choose with a knob that can be tightened. You cannot change the color spectrum of the light, it’s bright white only, but just put it in a sunny location and it will easily light up a walkway. The price is comparable to others of this quality.

AAmazon Verified Buyer★★★★★Affordably priced solar spotlights with a motion-sensor option to deter critters!
I recently received this pair of “btfarm Solar Spot Lights Outdoor Waterproof, 2 Pack/3 Modes Motion Sensor Lights, Solar Powered Spotlights 2-in-1 Auto On/Off for Outside Pathway Yard Garden Landscape Lighting, Cool White" and I‘m liking that I have a spare set of spotlights, but even more than that, I like that these can serve as a deterrent for a few of the critters using my yard as a thoroughfare. I’m hoping some strategic placement will help prevent (more) unwelcome visitors from digging under the fence, but even if that doesn’t work, these are pretty great as accent lights, so it’s a win either way. I ordered these two solar spotlights primarily as wireless accent lighting for outside. It’s just after the Christmas season as I type this, so the exterior of my house just went from "fully decked out and decorated" to "kinda boring" almost overnight. I don’t want to keep "holiday" lights up all year, but I do like having accent lighting here and there, and I can’t be bothered with a fully wired setup, so solar powered units seemed like a perfect fit. The package arrived quickly and the lights were clearly labeled. The instructions (see photos) were pretty clear, and having used many different solar lights in the past, I essentially skipped over them (until later). The lights were essentially ready to use directly out of the box. I just removed the protective film from each light’s panel, placed the lights out in the yard, and waited for sundown. The lights feel reasonably sturdy, but are plastic, so I am unsure how long they’ll last out in the weather. Fingers crossed that they’re as durable as they seem to be. Adjusting the lights is also pretty straightforward. Just place the ground-spike into the dirt, adjust/tilt the lamp portion to the angle you’d like, and then tighten the screw to lock its angle in place. As long as the lamps are powered ON, they’ll be able to absorb sunlight to use as battery power later on, so don’t forget that (minor) step. :) My temporary placement has them pointing UP into a mostly-dead (or dead-looking) tree. There’s no particular reason to highlight these trees, but I thought it’d demonstrate the luminosity of these if I could at least display the "low" and "high" settings with some pictures. Personally, I can barely tell a difference between the two when I look at them, and they are more than bright enough for my current use. They illuminate the leafless branches nicely, and I’m pleased with their projection distance. But what I did NOT know (because I just skimmed the reading portion of the assignment, lol) is that the lights have a motion-sensor capability and can be set to light up ONLY when motion is detected. For keeping critters that dig under my fence away, that seems like a stellar feature, so I’m extra happy that these have that capability. This 2-pack of solar spotlights was priced at $19.99 when I placed my order and I would most likely order these again. They’re bright enough, even on the lower brightness setting, that they work nicely as accent/spot lights for outside, but the motion-sensor feature is a real bonus and I’m loving that these will help cut down on the number of diggers that keep using my yard as a path. Happy to recommend!

AAmazon Verified Buyer★★★★★Excellent So Far….
I have only had these spot lights for a few days. If they fail, you will see an update. For the video, I had these solar lights on the lowest brightness setting. It actually has 3 lightness levels possible. You simply push the on/off button 3x to go through the levels of brightness. And as described in the written part given, the Lighting Modes are: 1. Constant-On Mode: Automatically turns off during daylight and activates at night with 20% brightness, lasting over 30 hours. 2. Low-Brightness Sensor Mode: Operates at 50% brightness when motionless and switches to 100% brightness upon detection. 3. Sensor Mode: Fully illuminates for up to 20 seconds when motion is detected, then turns off when motion ceases For my needs, I will be using these on the lowest brightness setting because that is enough for me. Additionally, since these lights are in a spot where they will receive the 5-6 hour minimum sunlight per day, the night will last longer being used on the lowest setting. I’m actually still figuring out if just using the sensor might be my preference. The quality here feels better than many I have tried especially in the thickness/protection of the solar panel. They go into the ground easily. They can be adjusted to any angle which is fantastic! But we will see if the handle that keeps the head in the correct angle will hold up. If not, I will also update the review. The battery life is good as long as they recieved enough light during the day and they are put on the lowest light setting. Or using just the sensor is far better if you need light when anyone steps outside anytime of the night. They function well for the price that is here as I write this review so I’m hoping that they have long term value!

AAmazon Verified Buyer★★★★★Some assembly required...
Buts it‘s not terrible, and once assembled these lights work great and are bright. Place them in a location to maximize the sunlight they get each day and the light will be brighter and they’ll stay illuminated longer. They’re sturdy and better made then most, and I expect them to last a long time. About 12“ tall, they’re of average size and should be appropriate for most uses. They work well and turn on at dusk.
