These are nice bright post cap lights which have 3 different colour temperatures, they are quite bright considering and weak well coming on at dusk.The finish is nice with a quality feel which is good value for money.

The battery on these is actually relatively small at 500mAh which means youll get some run-time a tnight, a few hours after dark providing you have good sunlight during the day in the first place.The mountings are all plastic which is of mid quality in fairness, I wouldnt expect more than 1-2 seasons out of these in reality due to the build quality and materials used.Warm, cool and a mixed colour option are available at half and full brightness. None are particularly bright but they are bright enough to use an in indicator of your fence posts, and they sure beat the rotten caps that are on my existing posts!

These lights have a flat bottom, so will only sit on top of a flat topped fence post, it won‘t work on the pointed kind.They have 2 brightness levels of bright white, 2 brightness levels of warm golden white, and 2 levels of brightness of both at once, which I think is a bit different and looks very pretty.The come with all the necessary screws to attach it, and it would be easier on a wooden fence post, but there are plugs in case you posts are the concrete type.We have a lot of fence posts in our back garden, but the two of them look nice either side of the path up to the front door.

These post lights are easy to install, just either screw through the side holes or if like in my case there is to much overhang you can screw the brackets down from the top, but longer screws are probably better than the tiny ones that come with these, once the brackets screwed to the post just switch the light on, choose your mode then twist them onto the brackets, if you want to check they are working before it gets dark just cover the solar panel with your hand and it should turn on.I have one on either side of our decking steps, when it gets dark these just come on, they do not give out much light but still looks kind of good, I like solar lights because they are virtually just a fit and forget light source, apart from keep the solar panel clean.

We‘re going to use these on a low fence that‘s chest height and borders a ramped path that enables access for an elderly family member without having to use steps. It‘s sometimes used at night, but doesn‘t need a big security floodlight so these will work perfectly on them.We‘re also considering putting some on the new compost bin, which might sound odd but it‘s by a path in the top half of the garden, and that half is separated by a massive shrubbery from the house. If you‘re up there in the evening, and let the sun go down it gets very shaded and dark quite quickly so it might be nice to have some light up there, during the winter, and it‘s well shielded so the light won‘t disturb us or the neighbours.These look pretty good, and provide a decent amount of light. I‘d note that if you put them up on the top of a six or seven foot fence, it‘s then shining down at your eyes and that‘s not ideal to me. I think it‘s best to put these in locations below neck height.

I was hoping these two solar lights might simply fit snugly over the top of my two concrete fence support posts as I don’t have actual wooden posts. But unfortunately, not. So, I have to wait for my son-in-law to sort out attaching them in some way. Although they are plastic, I consider they are strong and well-made, and the units appear to be waterproof. I like how the two units click together to reveal the lights emanating outwards and downwards from all four sides from underneath the top cap. I tried them in a dark room and the full brightness mode seems like they will give a nice aesthetic glow to my fence area rather than a wide glare spotlight area effect. It is also good that there are variations of the light strength to create an even softer glow.
