These Kolpop globe fairy lights are a charming addition to an indoor or outdoor space. I received them as part of the Vine programme in exchange for an honest review, and after testing them both indoors and outdoors over the past week, I’m impressed by how well they deliver a warm, inviting atmosphere.At 10.3 metres with 80 globe-shaped LEDs, there’s plenty of coverage for a Christmas tree, mirror, balcony, or garden pergola. The warm white glow is soft and non-glaring, creating a soft vibe. The intensity of the light can be adjusted with the included remote control.The battery operation (3 × AA, not included) makes them flexible to use anywhere, and setup was quick and simple. The included remote control is a real convenience: you can switch between 8 different modes (steady, fade, twinkle, etc.), adjust brightness, and set a timer (6 hours on, 18 off) without needing to touch the lights again. The lights are also rated IP65 waterproof, and mine coped with a rainy evening outside with no issues. I am not sure if they could last all year long in the UK winter though.There are a few small downsides. Battery life varies depending on the mode, around 8–10 hours on steady, less if you use the twinkling effects, so rechargeable batteries are a good idea. The remote can occasionally miss commands if you’re at an angle, and while the lights are great for ambience, they’re not bright enough for anything else.

These battery operated lights are described as indoor or outdoor however I’m not sure i would use them outdoors. Indoors they are great and being battery powered means they can be used anywhere. They give off a subtle yellow colour which would make a nice background in the living or bedroom. The battery case is a little flimsy which is why I wouldn’t use them outdoors personally. They would make great festive lights around a small tree or shelf.

Got these for my daughter’s uni room and they look v pretty. Come with a remote that unexpected- needs a little watch style battery. Nice and bright and more substantial than some other fairy lights.

I have put these lights in my dome outside and they fit just right and go all the way round. It’s big dome. The lights are bright enough for the dark so I can sit out there with some light. You can have the lights just staying on or the will flash on and off. Great lights will differently buy again.

I really like the effect of these lights. They give off a fairly subtle, ambient light. Not too bright. They are a good length and can easily be hung up where you would like them. They are rated as waterproof, so can be used outside. They are also powered by 3 aa batteries, so can easily be used in places where there are no convenient power outlets.
